The LONA Gallery was located in Historic Downtown Lawrenceville for eight years (April 2010 - March 2018). As of April 1, 2018, LONA is an online gallery.
LONA (Local, Original & Novel Art) continues to showcase original art by local Gwinnett County, Georgia artists, along with unique handcrafted gifts to include pottery, wood-crafts, fabric arts, jewelry and more.
Our History: LONA Gallery opened in April of 2010 at 186 West Crogan Street, a cozy 550 square foot space nestled between two restaurants. In November of 2012, LONA expanded with a move to its second location, a 2400 square foot facility on the opposite end of the block at 176 West Crogan Street.
The move to a larger location allowed LONA to offer classes for children and adults including drawing, painting, hand built pottery and other arts & crafts workshops. LONA also hosted Paint n Sip classes taught by local artist and faux painting specialist Bridgit Taylor. The gallery offered custom framing services and was an elegant venue for private events such as intimate weddings, receptions, business meetings, book signings, birthday parties and anniversary celebrations. LONA was also home base for business networking group GABE (Gwinnett Association of Business Entrepreneurs). Although LONA no longer has a brick and mortar location, we continue to promote local artists and showcase their work in our online shop.
For owners Carolyn Wright and Sylvia Culberson, LONA has been a labor of love born from an enduring interest in the arts, and in enhancing the quality of life of the community where we live.
