Harvey Moriarty
Harvey Moriarty is indeed an artist of unquestioned skill and talent.
His most unique approach to realism captures each of his subjects
with a style that is distinctly and only Moriarty.

Born in 1942, Moriarty spent his formative years on a farm near
Seattle, Washington.  By age twelve he had mastered the art of wood
carving with subjects encompassing birds and animals native to the
area.

By 1974, Moriarity had traveled many paths that led to his choosing
art as his life's work, earning the respect of not only collectors in the
United States, but also in Europe. Today he is recognized as a major
wildlife artist.

In 1977 Harvey was privileged to receive a commission to execute a
drawing of the White House for the President and Mrs. Carter's
Christmas card. Moriarty says: "It was the greatest thing that had
ever happened to me and I feel very grateful to the President and
Mrs Carter and all the fine people in the White House", reflecting his
sense of humility.

The LONA Gallery is privileged to also display pieces from
Harvey Moriarty's Silver "Fine Jewelry" Collection.
