Beth is well known in the Atlanta area for her beautiful yet practical
pottery. Beth began her career as a potter in 1973 while student
teaching high school and completing her undergraduate studies. She
completed her graduate studies in 1979 and began to sell her work
through craft shows and local galleries.
In 1979, she became a partner in a local gallery where she sold her
work as well as taught lessons to adults and children. In 1982, with
the birth of her first son, she chose to leave the partnership and
began to work from her home studio.
Beth makes this statement: "I'll never tire of the excitement of
working on the wheel. Clay is magic and in so many ways
therapeutic. I continue to experiment with new ideas both through
clay and glazes. I feel very blessed to be able to work at something
that I love so much each piece is a labor of love.
